In the figure alongside, anglePOR and angleQOR are a linear pair. If x - y =80degree find the value of x and y.

since QOP is a straight line ,

Angle x + angle y = 180° -------------(1)

also , given

angle x - angle y = 80° --------------(2)

adding both eqn we get ,,

2x = 260°

x = 130° (Ans)

so,

y = 50° (Ans)
