Given - AB = 20 metres

Angle c = 30°

Find - Length AB

Solution - We will use trigonometry values to find the length AB. As per the fact, sin theta = perpendicular/hypotenuse.

As per the given figure, perpendicular is AB and hypotenuse is AC. We also know sin 30° has the value 1/2.

Keeping the values to find the length of AB.

sin 30° = AB/AC

1/2 = AB/20

AB = 20/2

AB = 10 metres.

Hence, the length of AB = 10 metres.
