Given : PA and PB are tangent to the circle with centre O.
XY is a tangent to the circle at Z which intersects PA and PB in X and Y respectively and PA = 12 cm.
Lengths of tangents drawn from as external point to a circle are equal.
∴ PA = PB = 12cm
XA = XZ
YB = YE
Now perimeter of ΔPXY = PX + XY + PY
= PX + (XZ + YZ) + PY
= PX + (XA + YB) + PY
= (PX + XA) + (YB + PY)
= PA + PB
= 12cm + 12cm
= 24cm.
