Also EF║AC

so by Basic Proportionality Theorem,

\frac{BF}{AF} = \frac{BE}{EC}

\frac{AB-AF}{AF} = \frac{BC-EC}{EC}

\frac{13-AF}{AF} = \frac{10-2}{2}

\frac{13-AF}{AF} = \frac{8}{2}

\frac{13-AF}{AF} = 4

⇒ 13−AF = 4 AF

⇒ 13 = 4 AF + AF

⇒ 13 = 5 AF

AF = \frac{13}{5}

⇒ AF = 2.6 cm
