and FGB is an equilateral triangle, find the value of y-2x.​

GIVEN:

∆FGB IS AN EQUILATERAL TRIANGL

HENCE FGB=FBG=60

therefore in ∆BCF:

BCF=88°

CBF=60° AND

BFC=180-(88+60)=32°

GIVEN:

EFA=90°

therefore

y=90-32=58°

in ∆CFG

GCF=92°

CGF=60°

THEREFORE

CFG=x=180-(92+60)=28°

putting the value of x and y in the given equation

y-2x

58°-2*28

=58°-56°

=2°
