: In the figure, find PS, if PQ = QR = 1 cm and
RS=√2cm​

Given:- PQ = QR = 1 cm  and  RS = √2 cm

PQR and PRS are right angled triangle.

Let's Start:- In ΔPQR Right angled at Q

so, PR² = PQ² + QR²                                 [ By Pythagoras Theorem ]

⇒ PR² = 1² + 1²

⇒ PR = √2

now, In ΔPRS Right angled at R

so, PS² = RS² + PR²                       [ By Pythagoras Theorem ]

⇒ PS² = √2² + √2²

⇒ PS = √4

⇒ PS = 2 cm

∴ PS = 2 cm
