  • x+50 ∘ =180 ∘ (Linear pair)
  • ⇒x=130 ∘

  • Also, y=130 ∘ (Vertically opposite)

  • Now, x=y=130 ∘ (Alternate interior angles)

  • Alternate interior angles are equal.

  • ∴AB∥CD...

Solution :-

Assume line l is parallel to line m . { Must be given . }

So,

→ ∠1 = ∠2 { Corresponding angles. }

→ ∠2 = 60°

now,

→ ∠2 + ∠x = 180° { Linear pair. }

→ 60° + ∠x = 180°

→ ∠x = 180° - 60°

→ ∠x = 120° (Ans.)
