In the figure given above | ABCD is a square of side 50 m. Points
P, Q, R, S are midpoints of side AB, side BC, side CD, side AD
respectively. Find area of shaded region.

Answer:

Area of shaded region = Area of square - area of 4 sectors ( quadrant)

= 50 * 50 - 1/4 * 22/7*25*25

= 2500 - 11/7 * 625

= 2500 - 981.25

= 1518.75 m² ( approx.)
