In the figure given below , ∆ABC is isosceles with AB = AC , <A= 40° and <ABX = 110°.​

Answer:

∠x+110=180°(linear pair angles are supplementary)

∠x=180-110

∠x=70°

and now to find ∠y

that is

∠y=∠x(if two opposite sides of a triangle are supplementary then their opposite angles are also equal)

∠y=70°

Let's check whether it's correct or not

40+∠y+∠x=180°(sum of all interior angles of a triangle are supplementary)

40+70+70=180

180=180

L.H.S=R.H.S

hence verified
