Answer:

Hope it's help

In the given figure ABED is a cyclic quadrilateral (i) Prove that BEC ~ DAC (ii) If AB = 6cm, BC = 4cm, CE = 5 cm, then find DE. C (iii) If A (CBE) = 10 cm2, find A(CAD).

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - ABED is a cyclic quadrilateral

(i) Prove that ΔBEC ~ ΔDAC

In ΔBEC and ΔDAC

∠C = ∠C (common angle)

∠BEC = DAB

ΔBEC ~ ΔDAC

(b) If AB = 6cm, BC = 4cm, CE = 5 cm,

then find DE

By CPCT

BC/ DC= EC/AC

4 / DE+ 5 = 5/10

DE+ 5 = 8

DE = 8 -5

DE= 3 cm

(c)If A (ΔCBE) = 10 cm2. find A(ΔCAD)

A (ΔCBE)/ A (ΔDAC) = EC²/AC²= 1/4

10/A (ΔDAC) = 1/4

A (ΔDAC)= 40 cm
