Answer :-
we know that,
- sin θ = Perpendicular / Hypotenuse .
- cos θ = Base / Hypotenuse .
- Side opposite to angle is perpendicular .
In right angled ∆PQR, we have,
- PQ = 12 cm.
- QR = 5 cm .
- PR = 13 cm (Hypotenuse) .
- ∠QPR = θ .
- ∠QRP = ∝ .
so,
→ sin θ = Perpendicular / Hypotenuse
→ sin θ = QR / PR
→ sin θ = (5 / 13) (Ans.)
and,
→ cos ∝ = Base / Hypotenuse .
→ cos ∝ = QR / PR
→ cos ∝ = (5 / 13) (Ans.)
