for area make four part
two rectangle and two rhombus
two rectangle 6*24=144
144*2=288
two rombus
then add it

yadavpooja82127: well it is parallelogram so its height is 6and base is 8so area is 6*8=42
yadavpooja82127: then total area of M is 288+42+42=572
yadavpooja82127: cm^2
yadavpooja82127: leftover cardboard is
yadavpooja82127: total cardboard 24*24=576
yadavpooja82127: 576-572 =4 cm^2
yadavpooja82127: leftover cardboard
yadavpooja82127: mark me as brainlist well i didn't answer before because my netpack was lost
yadavpooja82127: I'm sorry for that

The leftover area is 160 cm².

According,to the diagram -

The area of two vertical rectangular parts which are located in the two sides of the M = {2×(24×6)}cm² = (2×144)cm² = 288cm²

The length of the rhombus one side = (24-16)cm = 8cm [according to the diagram]

The area of two rhombus which are situated in the middle part of M is = {2× ( 8×8)}cm² = (2×64)cm² = 128cm²

Total area of the M = (288+128) cm² = 416 cm²

Area of the cardboard = ( 24×24) cm² = 576cm²

Leftover area = (576-416)cm² = 160 cm² (answer)
