In the figure given below, if l║m and p, q are transversals, find the value of x+y

Solution :

Given , l//m

i ) l//m , p is the transversal .

x = 110° [ Corresponding angles ]

ii ) l // m , p is the transversal ,

y = 150° [ corresponding angles ]

Therefore ,

x + y = 110° + 150°

= 260°
