Given:

The container is being accelerated upwards.

To find:

Velocity of efflux ?

Calculation:

Considering the efflux orifice to be insignificant as compared to cross section of the cylindrical container , TORRICELLI'S EQUATION the value of efflux of the fluid (in the stationary container) as follows :

 \boxed{ \bf \therefore \: v =  \sqrt{2gh} }

Now , when the container is being accelerated upwards it will experience a pseudo force downwards and the net acceleration faced by the fluid becomes ( g + a) :

Hence , the velocity of efflux becomes :

 \boxed{ \bf \therefore \: v =  \sqrt{2(g + a)h} }
