In the figure if lines AB and CD are parallel lines, ∠ABE = 70 o and ∠BED=30 o ,then find the value of ∠CDE.​

Answer:

if AB || CD, then ∠ABE = ∠CPE

(P is the point of intersection of line BE and CD)

and, ∠BED = 30° (given)

hence by property of triangle,

∠DPE + ∠PED + ∠PDE = 180°

180°-70° + 30° + x = 180°

x = 70 - 30

x = 40°

∠CDE = 40°
