In the figure, line q || line r, line p is a transversal and m∠b = 102°. find the measure of ∠h.​

Given :   line q || line r, line p is a transversal and m∠b = 102°.

To find :   the measure of ∠h.​

Solution:

Properties of angles formed by transversal line  with two parallel lines :

• Corresponding angles are congruent. ( Equal in Measure)

• Alternate angles are congruent.  ( Interiors & Exterior  both )  

• Co-Interior angles are supplementary. ( adds up to 180°)

∠b ≅ ∠f  Corresponding angles

=>  m∠b  = m  ∠f

=> 102°  = m  ∠f

m∠h=  m∠f   vertically opposite angles

=> m∠h=  102°

Hence measure of ∠h is 102°
