GIVEN :-

  • Line l and m are parallel (||) to each other.
  • ∠1 = 44°.

TO FIND :-

  • The value of of x, y and z.

SOLUTION :-

From the question we have,

l || m .

→ ∠1 + x = 180°. [ co - interior angles ]

→ 44° + x = 180°

→ x = 180° - 44°

x = 136°.

Hence the required value of x to this question is 136°.

Now,

→ x = y = 136°. [ vertically opposite angles ]

y = 136°.

Hence the required value of y to this question is 136°.

Now,

[1]

→ ∠z + ∠1 = 180°. [ linear pair ]

→ ∠z + 44° = 180°

→ ∠z = 180° - 44°

z = 136°.

Hence the required value of z to this question is 136°.

[2]

→ x = z = 136°. [ alternate interior angles ]

z = 136°.

Hence the required value of z to this question is 136°.
