The value x - y = 1

Given

In the given picture, each number in the cell is obtained by adding two numbers in the below row

To find:

The values of x and y

Solution:

Start from 1st row and add every 2 cells to get the above value

[ For more understanding observe the given picture ]

From the given picture,

From rows 4 and 6

=>  y + 29 + y + 29 = 68

=> 2y + 58 = 68

=> 2y = 10

=> y = 10

From rows 3 and 4

=>  16 + 9 + x = y + 29

=>  25 + x = 34

=>  x = 9

From the above calculations,

=> x - y = 10 - 9 = 1

Therefore,

The value x - y = 1
