in the figure, o is the centre of the circle <CBD=65°.
calculate x and y. ​

Answer:

Angle ABC = 180° - 65° (Linear Pair)

Angle ABC = 115°

Angle x = 2(Angle ABC) (Theorem 10.8 :- The angle subtended by arc at the centre is double than angle subtended by it at any point on the remaining part of the circle )

Angle x = 2(115) = 230°

Angle AOC = 360° - 230°

Angle AOC = 130°

Angle y = 130°/2 ( Theorem 10.8:- The angle subtended by arc at the centre is double than angle subtended by it at any point on the remaining part of the circle )

Angle y = 65°
