Given :- in the figure of the given construction, if triangle QST is similar to triangle QRP, then the ratio QT:QP is ?

Solution :-

from image we can see that, in ∆QST and ∆QRP we have,

→ ∠QST = ∠QRP (given)

→ ∠SQT = ∠RQP (common)

so,

→ ∆QST ~ ∆QRP (By AA similarity.)

since we know that, when two ∆'s are similar , ratio of their corresponding sides are in same ratio .

then,

→ QS/QR = ST/RP = QT/QP .

therefore,

→ QT : QP = ST : RP : QS : QR .
