Given :   P is the mid point of BC , D is the mid point of AP.

area of the coloured part is 10 sq.cm

To Find: area of triangle APC

area of triangle APB

area of triangle ABC

Solution:

P is the mid point of BC

Hence Area of ΔABP = area of Δ APC  = (1/2) Area of ΔABC

D is the mid point of AP.

=> Area of ΔADC = area of Δ PDC = (1/2) Area of ΔAPC

Area of ΔADC = 10 cm²

=> 10 = (1/2) Area of ΔAPC

=> Area of ΔAPC = 20   cm²

Area of ΔABP = area of Δ APC = 20   cm²

area of Δ APC  = (1/2) Area of ΔABC

=> 20 = (1/2) Area of ΔABC

=> Area of ΔABC = 40 cm²
