in the figure, point D,E and F are respectively the mid points of the sides AC, AB and BC of a triangle ABC. if AB =4.2cm, BC=5.6cm, and AC=3.6cm then find the perimeter of triangle DEF

AB=4.2
AE=EB=4.2/2=2.1........(1)
AC=3.6
AD=DC=3.6/2=1.8.......(2)
BC=5.6
BF=FC=5.6/2=2.8........(3)

by Mid Point Theorem,
ED=1/2 BC..........(4)
DF=1/2AB...........(5)
EF=1/2AC...........(6)
(1),(2),(3),(4),(5)&(6)=>ED=2.8, DF=2.1 & EF=1.8
now, ED+DF+EF=perimeter of ΔDEF
Therefore, perimeter of Δ DEF=2.8+2.1+1.8=6.7cm
