draw a perpendicular from RT to the line segment PQ. TQ=60-36=24cm.

by applying Pythagoras theorem RT=7cm.

area of figure=area of rectangle +area of right triangle =(36×7)+(24×7÷2)

=252+84

= 336sq units. ans.
