A very important property of a kite is that, the opposite angles of the kite are always equal. 

So, in the kite PQRS
∠P = ∠R
⇒ $y$ = 50°

Also, ∠S = ∠Q
⇒ $x$ = 120°

∴ $x$ = 120° and $y$ = 50°.
