ST = 8 cm
PQ = 4 cm
QU  =  ??
 area of PQRS = base x height
                      = PQ x ST
                      = 8 x 4
                      =32 cm²

height of PQRS is QU

area of PQRS = RQ x QU
               32 = 6 x QU
            32/6 = QU
   5.33 cm = QU

⇒Given :- PQRS is a parallelogram where ST=8cm,PQ=4cm, and RQ=6cm....... ⇒To find:- Find QU...........?..... ⇒Sol:- PQRS is a parallelogram. So its opp. Sides will also be equal and parralel [PQ = SR and PS =QR].... ⇒area of parallelogram = Base × height. ..so ar.of PQRS = PQ × ST = 8 ×4 =32 cm² .. ⇒ We can also say that - THE BASE AND ALTITUDE OF PARALLELOGRAM PQRS iS ALSO RQ AND QU.. ⇒so substitute the numbers..... ⇒AR .OF PQRS = RQ ×QU = 32 cm²=6×QU....= QU = 32/6 = 5.33 or 5.3 cm..... There fore the ans is 5.3 cm.
