ABCD is a parallelogram, with AB = 8 cm and BC = 12 cm and <B = 30 deg. The distance between AB and CD or h(ab)= 12 sin 30 = 6 cm. So, the area of ABCD = AB*h(ab) 8*6 = 48 sq cm. Answer.
