In the figure, the area of the parallelogram is 84 cm. Find the value of k.

by equating h*b=area

$6(4 + k) = 84 \\ 4 + k = 14 \\ k = 10$

B×H=84

(k+4)×6=84

k=84÷6-4

k=10

Hence, the value of k is 10cm
