In the figure, the vertices of ◇ ABC are A (5, 6), B (1, 4) and C (7, 2). Points D and E are mid points of sides AB and AC respectively. Find the area of ◇ ADE.​

let the vertices of a triangle are

x1,y1

x2,y2

x3,y3

if you want the mid point of D is AB then sum of two sides-opposite side=the point.

5+1-7=6-7=-1

6+4-2=8-2=6

th point d is (-1,6).

now the point E is AC THEN,

5+7-1=12-1=11

6+2-4=8-4=4

the point e is (11,4).

now triangle ade the point are:

a(5,6),d(-1,6),e(11,4)

area=1/2[x1 x2 x3 y1]

y1 y2 y3 y1

by solving this we can get the answer.sry i cannot do much more.
