In the figure, triangle abc is a right angled at b. If AB is 9cm, acis 15cm. D and E are mid points of ab and ac. Calculate the length of bc the area of trapezium bced.​

Answer:

BC = √(15)²-(9)² = 12cm ...

Now,

AD/AB = DE/BC

1/2 = DE/12

DE = 6cm

now,

area of trapezium = 1/2(12+6)*9/2 = 81/2 = 40.5cm² (Ans)
