❥The map on the wall shows beautiful rivers, mountains and valleys whereas the world of the slum children only consists of dim lanes covered with a lead sky. The beautiful world of the map is unknown to them. So the map just tempts them without giving them an opportunity to live in the real world.

Explanation:

The question is referenced from the poem An Elementary School Classroom in a Slum written by Spender.

In the first stanza, he described the four children as;

The first child

She was tall girl with a weighed-down head.This girl is physically and emotionally exhausted

The second child

The second boy is thin like a paper and had rat eyes

The third child

This boy had twisted bones and was suffering from a genetic disorder

The forth child

This boy sat in the last portion of class and he was a boy who would dream high
