A poem is written by poet, and some times poets of certain poem are unknown and known as anonymous, whereas the poem whose poets do not want to reveal there name, they use some other names as the poet of the poem.

There is a basic difference between, a poem and a story, in a story writing the parts are broken down into many parts, known as para, whereas in poems the several parts that are used in a poem are known as para or stanza.

Explanation:

In the first stanza, the poet wonders on the things that makes a nation’s pillars high and to have a strong foundations. He also wonders what makes them strong enough to defy its enemies that surround it from all sides.

It is a part of the popular poem, 'A Nation's Strength' by Ralph Waldo Emerson in which the people of a nation has been given due credit for making it great rather than it's military or wealth. It lays ample emphasis on a nation's people than anything else.
