Given : R₁ = 15Ω, R₂ = 10Ω,R₃ = 30Ω, R₄ = 5Ω, R₅ = 20Ω and battery is 18 volt.

To Find : total resistance

electrical current flowing in the circuit.

Solution:

R₁ , R₂ and R₃ are in parallel

Hence 1/R₆  = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + 1/R₃

=> 1/R₆  =  1/15 + 1/10  + 1/30

=>  1/R₆  =  (2 + 3 + 1) /30

=> 1/R₆  =  (6) /30

=> 1/R₆  =  1/5

=> R₆  = 5  Ω

R₄ and R₅ are in parallel

=> 1/R₇ = 1/R₄ + 1/R₅

=> 1/R₇ = 1/5 + 1/20

=> 1/R₇ = (4 + 1)/20

=> 1/R₇ = (5)/20

=> 1/R₇ = 1/4

=> R₇ = 4 Ω

R₆ and  R₇ are ins series

R  = R₆ +  R₇

=> R = 5 + 4

=> R  = 9 Ω

the total resistance  = 9 Ω

I = V/R

=> I  =  18/9  = 2A

electrical current flowing in the circuit. = 2A
