Given : a spinning top in the form of right circular cone is covered with a hemisphere , total height of the top is 11.5cm   radius of the hemisphere is 3.5cm

To find : Volume of Top

Solution:

Total Height = 11.5 cm

Hemisphere Radius = 3.5 cm

=> Height of cone = 11.5 - 3.5 = 8 cm

Radius of Cone = 3.5 cm

Volume of Cone = (1/3) π  r² h

= (1/3) (22/7) (3.5)² * 8

= 308/3  cm³

Volume of Hemisphere  = (2/3) π r³

= (2/3) (22/7)(3.5)³

= 539/6 cm³

Volume of spinning top =  308/3 + 539/6

= (616 + 539)/6

= 1155/6

= 192.5 cm³

Volume of spinning top = 192.5 cm³
