Answer:

BF=9.6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

base=AB=12cm

height=CE=8cm

Area of parallelogram=Base*Height

                                      =12*8

                                      =96cm^2

base=AD=10cm

height=BF

Area of parallelogram= base*height

                                96=10*height

                                96/10=height

                               9.6cm=height

Hence BF=9.6cm

Given:

AB =12cm, AD=10cm and CE=8cm.

To find:

The length of BF.

Solution:

1) The area of the parallelogram will be the same if we calculate it in any way.

2) Base of parallelogram are AB = 12 cm and AD = 10 cm

   Height of the parallelogram are CE = 8cm and BF = x cm

3) Area of the parallelogram =  base  × height

  •   AB × CE = AD × BF
  •   12 × 8 = 10 × x
  •   x = 9.6 cm

The length of BF is 9.6 cm.
