 {bc}^{2}  =  {be}^{2}  +  {ce}^{2}  \\ 50 = 1  +  {ce}^{2}  \\  {ce}^{2}  = 49 \\ ce = 7

EF = CE-CF

EF = 7-1=6

area of square EFGH = 6*6= 36

or area of square abcd = 50

area of triangle BEC = (1/2)*7*1 =7/2

area of 4 such triangles = 4*7/2 =14

area of square EFGH = 50-14 = 36
