In the following figure, AE = AD, ∟BAE = ∟CAD. Prove that AB = AC.

Answer:

as AE =AC

ANGLE AEB AND ANGLE ADC ARE EQUAL( angles opp. to equal sides are equal)

so in ∆AEB AND ∆ADC

AE=AD

angle BAE = angle DAC

angle AEB = angle ADC

HENCE ∆AEB congruent ∆ ADC

AND AB =AC
