In the following figure angle ABC=90° and BD perpendicular to AC if AD=8cm CD=2cm find the length of BD​

By the theorem of geometric mean

${bd}^{2} = ac \times cd$

${bc}^{2} = 8 \times 2$

${bc}^{2} = 16$

$bc = \sqrt{16}$

$bc = 4 cm$
