In the following figure, assuming the diode to be
ideal, potential difference between A and B is

Here clearly, the diode has been connected in forward bias.. When a diode is connected in forward bias, it works as a closed circuit, that is, you can just ignore the diode unless its resistance is specifically mentioned, which is not in the above question. Now just solve the remaining circuit (ignoring the diode) using simple techniques taught in current electricity... The answer should be 10V..
