In the following figure, BC = 4 , AD = 12, then find A(∆ABC) : A (∆BAD) ​

Given;

BC= 4cm.

AD= 12cm.

Find; A(ABC):A(BAD).

solution;...

as,in the given figure ;

A(ABC)= 1/2×base× height..

= 1/2× AB× BC

= 1/2× b × 4= 2b( here ,b refers to base).

A(ABD)= 1/2× AB× AD

= 1/2×b× 12= 6b.

and there ratio is A(ABC) /A( ABD)

= 2b/6b= 1/3...1:3(ans).
