In triangle ABD
AB = BF
Therefore, Angle DAB = Angle BDA = y
Angle ABC = 60° (Angle of equilateral)
Angle ABC is exterior angle for angle ABF
Hence, y + y = 60°
2y = 60°
y = 60/2
y = 30°
