Given :  l || m

To Find : the unknown angles a and b

Solution:

∠c  = 110°   corresponding  angles

∠c + ∠a  = 180°   Linear Pair

=> 110° + ∠a  = 180°  

=>  ∠a  = 70°  

∠b = ∠a + 40°   Exterior angle of a triangle = Sum of opposite two interior angles

=> ∠b = 70°  + 40°

=> ∠b = 110°

∠a  = 70°    and  ∠b = 110°
