1 + ∠2 = 100° (given) But ∠1 = ∠2 (vertically opposite angles) ⇒ 2∠2 = 100° ⇒ ∠2 = 50° Also ∠2 + ∠4 = 180° (linear pair) ⇒ ∠4 = 180° – 50° = 130°
