In the following figure if five resistors have been connected as shown,find the equivalent resistance and the net current of the circuit.Given R1 = 10 Ω,R2 = 40 Ω,R3 = 30 Ω,R4 = 20 Ω,R5 = 60 Ω and voltage of the battery V = 12 V.

sir u haven't given the fig....i am hoping that these are all connected in series...

Given that - R1 = 10 ohm

R2 = 40 ohm

R3 = 30 ohm

R4 = 20 ohm

R5 = 60 ohm

V = 12 v

Rnet = R1 + R2 + R3 + R4 + R5

R net = 10 + 40 + 30 + 20 + 60 = 160 ohm

By ohms law V = I X R

I = V / R = 12 / 160 = 0.075 A

I am considering them in parallel combination

1/ Rp = 1/10+1/20+1/30+1/40 +1/60

=81/ 360

Rp = 360/ 81 = 4.44 ohm

I = V/ R

= 12× 81 / 360

= 2.7 A
