While observing the two lines in which angle 1 and angle 2 is,we can observe both are parallel

here

we can't directly say it's adjacent,but I can say the line intersecting both the horizontal lines is a transversal,also we know If a transversal intersects two parallel lines then their alternate interior angles are equal,But not supplementary.

It could've been supplementary,if was co interior angles,but not. Here both lines does intersect,and the alternate interior angles are equal.

Therefore I can say,these two angles aren't adjacent

also we know

adjacent angles are called linear pair,or straight line,that is they must be angles near each and must satisfy the property of being a straight line
