In the following figure, l and m are parallel lines and t is a transversal. If ∠1 =

108˚, then find the remaining angles 2 ,3, 4 and 5.​

given :-

angle1 = 108°

let angle 5 be x

angle 1 + angle 5 = 180° ( angles in linear pair)

180° + x = 180°

x = 180° – 108°

x = 72°

angle 2 = angle 5 ...( vertically opposite angles )

angle 2 = 72°

angle 3 = angle 5 .....( alternate angles)

angle 3 = 72°

angle 4 = 180° – angle 3 ....(angles in linear pair)

angle 4 = 180° – 72°

therefore,

angle 4 = 108°

Answer is angle 2 = 72°, angle 3 = 72°, angle 4 = 108°, angle 5 =72°
