In the following figure line m parallel to line n and line p is transversal. From the given information find values of a and b. Give reasons for your answer.​

since m || n and p is a transversal .

given that,

→ angle opposite to b = 80°

so,

→ ∠b = 80° (vertically opposite angles.)

now,

→ ∠a = ∠b (Alternate interior angles.)

then,

→ ∠a = 80°

Hence, both angle a and angle b are equal to 80° .
