Line SR has been extended up to U, so that, Angle y is formed at the intersection T.

Given that, ∠RTQ = ∠PQT  [alternate exterior angles]

∴ ∠RTQ = 110°

∴ y = 180° - 110° = 70°

Now, x + y = 125°  [∵ exterior angle of a triangle is the sum of non-adjacent interior angles]

∴ x = 125° - y = 125° - 70° = 55°
