so,

let the tension in M1 mass be T

and so tension in M2 mass that is attached to the movable pulley will 2T

given that,

the whole system is in equalibrium

so,

tension of the string will be equal to the force applied by the gravitation upon mass

so,

for mass M2

2T = M2g

and for mass M1

T = 10g

T = 100 N

so,

2T = M2g

2(100) = 10M2

M2 = 20 kg

now,

tension in the M2 = 2T

= 2(100)

= 200 N

so,

tension in the string connecting M2 = 200 N
