In the following food chain, 100 J of energy is available to the lion. How much energy was available to the producer ? Plants →Deer→Lion

as we know that according to 10% law any consumer will get only 10% of total energy
so energy is available to the Lion is 100j
so hundred joule will be 10% of the total energy of the deer so the energy available for the deer will be
100*100/10=1000j
now 1000 j energy of the Deer will be 10% of the plant energy so the plant energy will be
1000*100/10=10000j.

EXplaination:according to the below answer, the energy in the plant that was available for the deer is 10000 joules but the question is what energy wasa available to the producer=> how much energy is available in the sun. plants take about 1% of the energy in the sun. so 10000 is 1% of the energy available to the producer. so the total energy available to the producer is 100*10,000=10,00,000J
