we know, area enclosed by velocity time graph is given total displacement by particle during motion.
so, total distance = area of ∆OAC + area of ∆ABD
= 1/2 × 2 × (-4) + 1/2 × 2 × (4) = 0
hence, displacement = 0
so, average velocity = total displacement/total time taken
= 0/4 = 0 m/s
