in the following graph variation with time in velocity V of a particle moving rectilinearly is shown what is average velocity in metre per second of the particle in time interval from 0 to 4 seconds

see figure, velocity - time graph is given
we know, area enclosed by velocity time graph is given total displacement by particle during motion.

so, total distance = area of ∆OAC + area of ∆ABD
= 1/2 × 2 × (-4) + 1/2 × 2 × (4) = 0

hence, displacement = 0
so, average velocity = total displacement/total time taken
= 0/4 = 0 m/s
